Embark on a transformative journey to Kenya, where you’ll combine adventure and meaningful connections. Spend your days interacting with vibrant local communities, contributing to impactful projects to combat child marriage and FGM. You’ll work alongside passionate locals, gaining a deep understanding of their culture, challenges, and hopes for the future.

Outside of your volunteer work, immerse yourself in Kenya’s breathtaking landscapes—experience the thrill of a safari, witnessing the majestic Big Five in their natural habitat, or hike through lush forests, home to rare species and vibrant birdlife.

This trip is more than just a getaway; it’s a chance to make a difference, forge lasting relationships, and gain a new perspective on life. You’ll leave Kenya not just with unforgettable memories, but with a renewed sense of purpose and a profound appreciation for the beauty and resilience of its people and wildlife.

SAMPLE ITINERARY

Day 1 – Arrivals to Nairobi

Day 2 – 1/2 day safari at Nairobi National Park, shop craft markets, welcome dinner

Day 3 – 2-hour drive to Suswa, program visit at school-based shelter, drive to hotel in Naivasha, dinner with partners

Day 4 – Morning program visit, afternoon boat safari

Day 5 – Drive to Maralal, waterfall hike and lunch en route, animal viewing from the van

Day 6 – Full day site visit at Samburu Girls Foundation

Day 7 – Drive to Nanyuki, afternoon hike or shopping

Day 8 – Full day of safari

Day 9 – Morning walking safari, drive back to Nairobi for night departures (11pm or later) or next morning departures

Trips are limited to 12 guests and a $500 non-refundable deposit is due to reserve a spot. Full payment is due 90 days proper to trip dates and no refunds available after final payment is made. Payment plans and options to fundraise are available.

  • We offer a Zoom meeting before trips for attendees to meet each other, this helps with travel anxiety! 
  • We try our best to link solo attendees up at layover airports so you have a travel buddy arriving into NBO
  • We know trips like this can be scary and exciting. Please feel free to reach out and we’re happy to chat through logistics. Once registered, you’ll have a good flow of emails regarding all aspects of the trip and expectations. A preparation guide is sent a few weeks before the trip, as well.

It’s pretty incredible to hear the story of the women at Her Future Coalition but it was even more incredible meeting them. I spent the last week with an absolutely incredible group of women ranging in age from 24-68. We experienced some of the worst and best of humanity. We immersed ourselves into a culture full of wonder and chaos. We met the most beautiful souls who welcomed us with open arms and inspired us in a way I cannot find the words to fully express.
